(Irvine, CA) — eEye Digital Security is looking for a computer science student with an intermediate level of software development knowledge. This position will be primarily responsible for basic software development projects related to eEye's award winning Retina Network Security Scanner. The ideal candidate will have at least a basic level of network security knowledge. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in an exciting field surrounded by individuals that are highly motivated in helping to manage security threats.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Estimate coding efforts for new projects
- Assist in design of new software feature implementations
- Implement features as per design documents
- Work as part of an agile development team to achieve deliverables and milestones
Required Skills & Experience
- Intermediate Programming skills in both C# and C++
- Experience with XML and XSLT
- Ability to interact with team members to troubleshoot problems
- Understanding of basic network communications and protocols
- Administration skills required to set up virtualized environments
- Experience with both Windows and UNIX file structure and architecture
- Solid communication, presentation and people skills
- Strong interest in network security
