eEye Digital Security is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, technical individual to join the Security Engineering team. The successful candidate has an excellent opportunity for growth and may transition to, Software Development, Product Management, or QA positions.

As a member of the eEye Security Engineering team, the Security Engineer will be responsible for the following.

Examples of Essential Functions:

  • Provide pre-sale support during evaluation and qualification phases of the sales cycle.
  • Gather thorough knowledge of the customer information systems including network
  • Work closely with project management and sales & marketing teams to deliver the best fit deployment approach for the customer.
  • Interact directly with managerial and technical expertise provided by the customer and resolve any concerns through out the life of the account.
  • Assist the sales team with technical questions/issues
  • Present on-line and in person demo’s to customers
  • Manage customer communication and expectations
  • Manage enterprise pilots from initial contact through close.
  • Provide troubleshooting and de-bugging for customers and prospects
  • Escalate necessary items to engineering for resolution
  • Assist in training the sales team on our technology
  • End user and Partner training

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training or experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT and UNIX OS
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, routers, switches, proxy server
  • Knowledge of World Wide Web environments and tools XML, ASP. Etc.
  • In depth knowledge of networking Windows OS a must
  • In depth Knowledge of Protocols, Ports and Windows permissions
  • Knowledge of Firewall, IDS, IPS, Ant virus, Vulnerability Assessment a must
  • In depth knowledge of one or more of the above mentioned is highly desirable
  • Web Application security experience a plus
  • Ethical hacking/ penetration testing/ a plus
  • Scripting experience a plus
  • Travel experience helpful

  • Strong dedication to customer care
  • Strong team interaction skills
  • Excellent communication skills – able to clearly communicate with customers both verbally and written, regardless of their level of computer literacy
  • Ability to understand and analyze customer technical needs
  • Ability to participate, contribute and interact with operations and sales teams
  • Must have good initiative and assertiveness
  • Experience in software customer support a plus
  • Experience in Sales engineering mandatory
  • Experience using Citrix, GoToMeeting, WebEx preferred
  • Extensive Travel will be required at times- up to 80-90%
