The 2002 "Best of the Tests" Award represents Network World’s top-ranked product reviews, selected from a field of 230 enterprise products tested during the past 12 months. To perform the tests in an unbiased manner, Network World partnered with the most qualified industry experts, network integrators and universities for comprehensive testing. Retina was selected as the winner for network security scanners based on head-to-head testing against products from Nessus, Symantec, Internet Security Systems, NetIQ, and others.
