In an enterprise setting, with multiple Microsoft servers deployed, eEye’s enterprise web protection is delivered through SecureIIS running on each server and REM running as a central administration console. SecureIIS operates within the IIS web server application to actively inspect all incoming requests at each stage of data processing. In this way, SecureIIS prevents potentially damaging network traffic — whether encrypted or unencrypted — from penetrating these servers.
Through the REM central console, security policies can be implemented for all web servers or on a case-by-case basis if required. Event data reflecting attacks blocked by SIIS are collected in a central database and complete web server security reports can be generated via the REM console.
