eEye Digital Security Announces Program to Transform Partners into Managed Security Service Providers

eEye's Managed Service Provider Program Delivers Award-Winning Retina and Blink Products as Foundation of Custom Managed Security Solutions

(ALISO VIEJO, CA) March 21, 2005 — eEye Digital Security®, a leading network security software company enabling businesses to protect and manage their network infrastructure, today announced a new partnership program designed to enable Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This new MSP program leverages eEye’s award-winning products as the foundation for a comprehensive managed security service. Specifically, managed service providers of all kinds – from Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs) to Value-Added Resellers (VARs) – will be able to license eEye's industry-leading Retina Network Security Scanner and Blink endpoint security software for both vulnerability assessment and endpoint security services.

This program greatly expands the options available to MSPs delivering vulnerability management services. Until today, MSPs interested in delivering these services were forced to choose between open source platforms with extremely limited functionality, such as Nessus or SNORT, or reselling other packaged managed security services, such as Qualys, which offers little opportunity for service customization or attractive profit margins.

This new program will augment eEye's channel focus and expand the reach of eEye's award-winning products. eEye is actively recruiting for this new program, which is open to existing channel partners looking to become MSPs, as well as service providers, systems integrators, and VARs seeking to provide on-demand vulnerability assessment, remediation and prevention as a managed security service. End user prospects requiring a managed service solution to address regulatory compliance and security policy enforcement issues will now be referred to eEye's MSP partners.
