Three Prominent Members of eEye's Research Team To Speak At Black Hat USA Conference

eEye Research Team to Present at BlackHat July 27, 2005

(ALISO VIEJO, CA) July 23, 2005 — eEye Digital Security®, a leading developer of network security software which enables businesses to protect and manage their network infrastructure, today announced that three of its security experts will present at the Black Hat USA Conference July 27, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV.

Derek Soeder, software engineer for eEye Digital Security and Ryan Permeh, senior software engineer for eEye Digital Security will be giving a presentation entitled "eEye RootBoot", from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST where they will explain and demonstrate the validated technology that boot-time real-mode code can be used to infiltrate the Windows kernel as soon as it appears.

Barnaby Jack, senior research engineer will follow with a presentation entitled, Remote Windows Kernel Exploitation - "Step In To The Ring 0,” from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. PST, where he will provide a walkthrough on remotely exploiting Ring 0 vulnerabilities and overcoming the various obstacles that arise when attempting to exploit this class of vulnerability.
