Security Leader eEye Launches New Partner Programme That Empowers Partners To Achieve Dramatically Increased Margins

(STAINES, UK) February 13, 2006 — eEye Digital Security®, a leading developer of network security and vulnerability management software solutions, as well as the industry’s foremost contributor to security research and education, today announces the launch of a new European channel programme, centred on rewarding partners at a demonstrably higher rate than the competition, resulting in greatly improved margins. This announcement completes eEye’s planned transition to a channel-centric business that recognises the value that partners bring their customers as trusted advisors on security issues.

“The new channel programme will handsomely reward our partners that truly understand the value-add of eEye’s vulnerability management solutions as part of a total network management programme,” comments Ross Brown, Chief Operating Officer of eEye. “We’re working with a small number of committed distributors that have a focus on selling total solutions that proactively address business security issues and a well-deserved reputation for helping partners build a high-value, highly profitable business. This includes compliance and risk management, patch management and ongoing security issues such as virus protection and other malicious attacks.”

This new programme leverages eEye’s award-winning products as a complement to a Value-Added Distributor’s (VAD) existing portfolio of network-level security devices such as firewalls and anti-virus. eEye’s channel partners are now enabled to provide intrusion prevention and vulnerability management solutions that maintain business continuity, enable regulatory compliance, secure borderless networks, aid security policy enforcement and facilitate network forensics and investigation. eEye partners will have access to the Retina® Network Security Scanner for network-based vulnerability assessment and remediation automation, and the Blink® Endpoint Intrusion Prevention product for host-based intrusion prevention and vulnerability mitigation. The two product lines are further augmented by eEye’s REM™ Security Management Console that delivers an enterprise-centric remediation management workflow for facilitating optimal resolution of vulnerabilities.

Under the new programme, eEye is actively recruiting partners that understand the business benefits that vulnerability management solutions bring to companies. eEye is currently in discussions with existing partners to qualify their interest in joining the new programme, the benefits of which include joint marketing events and activities, public relations support and a points-based reward system that offers to partners that forecast and create demand for eEye security products margins that are 70% to 100% greater than competitive product offerings.

eEye is looking to recruit additional partners in EMEA that can demonstrate success in pro-active reseller recruitment and have vendor portfolios that complement rather than compete. As eEye’s product portfolio is centred around highlighting vulnerabilities and providing swift and clear remediation, partners with experience in remote access and security technologies including Citrix, Juniper, Cisco, HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, Remedy and CA Unicenter will benefit from the new channel programme.
