Kamal Arafeh, CEO

Mr. Arafeh joined eEye Digital Security in 2006 as Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales & Marketing and now serves as the company's CEO. Mr. Arafeh brings more than 18 years of success in developing markets, building partnerships and growing sales revenue. Mr. Arafeh was most recently Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Americas and Asia Pacific at Astaro, a fast growing Internet Security developer where he was responsible for over 100% annual revenue growth in both regions. Mr. Arafeh has a proven track record in executive sales management at a number of technology organizations including, Vice President of WW Sales at Vernier Networks, General Manager of Enterprise Products at Roxio where he successfully led the digital media software provider into the enterprise space resulting in Roxio's GoBack product acquisition by Symantec in 2003. During his 4 year tenure at McAfee/Network Associates, he grew McAfee's channel sales operations by 200% annually.

John Gardiner, CFO

John Gardiner joined eEye in 2006 and serves as the company's CFO. He brings extensive financial and management experience in both private and public companies. Mr. Gardiner most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at iRise, a business application software developer. Prior to iRise, Mr. Gardiner was the Senior Director of Finance at Citrix Systems, where he led the finance, accounting, purchasing and risk management teams for Citrix Online, the company's largest division that was growing at 67% annually. Mr. Gardiner is a CPA, having received the highest score in the State of Florida and the Elijah Watt Sells Award for one of the top scores in the nation. Mr. Gardiner is also a top-rated analyst with the Gerson Lehrman Group, where he provides business trend, risk and financial analysis on the software industry to Wall Street investment banking firms. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Florida.

Morey J. Haber, VP, Product Management

With more than 15 years of IT industry experience, Mr. Haber joined eEye in 2004 as Senior Security Engineer and is today responsible for designing next-generation security and vulnerability management solutions based on Fortune 500 customer experiences. Prior to eEye, he was a Development Manager for Computer Associates, Inc. (CA), responsible for CA's SWAT team and management of new product beta cycles. These included CA's flagship product line Unicenter, Network Management Solutions, and Service Level Management. Mr. Haber began his career as a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer for a government contractor building flight and training simulators. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Kate Kawalek, VP, Engineering

Kate Kawalek joined the eEye Digital Security team in March 2006 as Director of Engineering Operations. Ms. Kawalek has been instrumental in establishing new processes for the various Engineering, Customer Support and Quality Assurance teams. She has been the catalyst for launching and implementing the Agile Software Development Process across all development teams. Ms. Kawalek is known by her proven track record of building a strong environment of process and methodology for product creation and on time product release. Prior to joining eEye Digital Security, Ms. Kawalek was R&D Manager for QSC Audio Products, a world leader in professional audio manufacturing located In Costa Mesa CA. During her 12 year tenure with QSC, Ms. Kawalek held various roles, cumulating with the ultimate responsibility of leading a team of 20+ hardware, firmware and software engineers. She has 10+ highly successful years directing both hardware and software based product lifecycles. Ms. Kawalek graduated from the California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Most recently in 2007 she was certified as an Agile Software Process Scrum Master.

John-Marc Clark, VP, Marketing

John-Marc Clark joined eEye Digital Security in 2008 and serves as the company’s VP of Marketing. Previously, he was the VP of Marketing at Qumranet, where he launched the company and its first commercial product. His software marketing background spans nearly 20 years, including work at five leading ISVs and four years as a research director at IDC. Mr. Clark spent eight years with Citrix in various product and corporate marketing leadership roles. He led the Emerging Products Marketing team responsible for developing and launching new virtualization products. He also built and ran market research, competitive intelligence and analyst relations. Mr. Clark was also a frequent keynote speaker and helped the company exceed $1 billion in revenues during 2006. He holds masters degrees in international business and relations from the University of Miami and the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina; a marketing certificate from UC Berkeley; and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown.

Marc Maiffret, Co-Founder & Fellow

As eEye Digital Security's Co-Founder, Marc Maiffret has been a driving force in the vision and continuous innovation for eEye's product development and vulnerability research efforts since the company's inception in 1998. Long regarded as a security expert and thought leader in vulnerability assessment and endpoint security, Marc Maiffret speaks regularly on the state of security across the globe, including several appearances before Congress, where he has testified on information policies and security threats posed to both public and private infrastructures. Mr. Maiffret's role in vulnerability research, education and product innovation has been reflected in the numerous awards and distinguishments that eEye Digital Security continuously receives.

Sam Rodd, General Counsel

As General Counsel, Mr. Rodd oversees all legal matters, including corporate governance, intellectual property, contracts, and corporate transactions. He is a former Vice President and General Counsel at Computer Associates and for over 18 years has been practicing law specializing in computer technology contracts and issues. He has provided legal consulting services to numerous clients, among them Citibank, Colgate Palmolive, Sterling Commerce and Chemical Bank, as well as several software portfolio companies of Insight Venture Partners, a large venture capital firm based in New York City. Mr. Rodd is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia University Law School.
