Wellintech KingView HistorySvr.exe Buffer Overflow
KingView 6.53 and possibly other versions
Wellintech KingView contains a buffer overflow vulnerability when handling packets with the HistorySvr.exe module. Successful exploitation could allow remote arbitrary code execution.
Arbitrary code execution under the current user's context
This client-side vulnerability could allow an attacker to gain the ability to execute remote arbitrary code with the same permissions as the user that is currently logged in. If the user is an admiistrator, the attack er could install malicious software and further compromise the system.
Apply appropriate vendor patch.
