Description:
A vulnerability within ColdFusion allows attackers to read arbitrary files hosted on the server. This could lead to disclosure of sensitive information. This vulnerability has been exploited in the wild.

Arbitrary File Disclosure
Attackers exploiting this vulnerability are able to arbitrarily read files from the affected server. These files may contain sensitive information that is useful to an attacker, allowing the attacker to use this information to further access unauthorized information or systems.

Mitigation:
Block public access to the following directories:

  • CFIDE/administrator
  • CFIDE/adminapi
  • CFIDE/gettingstarted
